I am a bilingual teacher in Texas and we use the Spanish version of the DRA, which is the EDL. In addition, the DRA folks also produce a great resource called the Progress Monitoring Tool which is also available in Spanish and is appropriate for DRA/EDL reading Levels 4-60. For our intervention time, we have discovered a wonderful resource by Hopscotch(Pacific Learning) -SIL: El Sistema de la Intervención de Lectura. There are 3 kits; one for K-1 (orange) 2nd -3rd (green) and a new purple kit were using with 3-5. Depending on your district's bilingual philosophy, these kits are great intervention support resources for getting students to read on grade level in Spanish. This is my 2nd year using SIL and as a bilingual teacher who has spent hours writing my own material due to lack of quality resources-SIL is an answer to my prayers! I highly recommend this for an RTI or interventon resource. it is similar to LLI but very reasonably priced!
